Alexa McCourt

Maid-of-honor, the bride's BFF from college, sorority sister

Nicole and Alex met their freshman year of college at Sacred Heart University during a sorority recruitment event. When they decided to go for a new sorority coming to campus that didn’t require you go through the *grueling* classic recruitment experience, they instantly bonded over what they felt like was a shared secret power move. As they made their way through the strange initiation process, held chapter and Panhellenic leadership positions together, and managed to survive Sunday chapter meetings (that, thankfully, by senior year included a ritual pre-game at the campus bar), the two became the best of friends. Since early on and to this day, Alex has been Nicole’s go-to for advice on anything and everything. They may not want to admit it, but that whole sorority thing really did bring these “sisters” together. Alex is Nicole’s first call when she needs to talk to someone who isn’t Kyle, and arguably one of the only people who knows how to calm Nicole down in any kind of stressful situation she’s dealing with. Admittedly, Nicole is really taking advantage of her Maid-of-Honor’s certifications in therapy since she works full-time as a social worker.

Joseph (Joe) Bilynsky

Best man, the groom's BFF, college roommate, fraternity brother

Kyle and Joe met roaming the halls of their freshman year dorm. It’s true – the 5th floor of Merton at Sacred Heart University was the beginning of their bromance. Early roommate scaries and a shared realization that they’d both signed up for the club baseball team led the guys to a quick and easy friendship (hitting their first college party at the club baseball house together helped, too). Sophomore year, Joe joined the same fraternity as Kyle and became his roommate, a title they’d call each other through graduation. Junior year, when Kyle and Nicole started dating, Joe and Nicole became instant pals (and, frankly, part-time roommates). Fast forward to today, and the trio are still the best of friends and Joe could probably teach a great crash course on third wheeling. Whether they’re talking crypto or creating a family, Kyle is so grateful he can always pick up the phone and call Joe, no matter the topic. He is incredibly grateful for their forever friendship, the friendship their significant other’s have built (see: Ellen’s bridesmaid bio!), and for Joe’s fitness advice (often “how do I fix these aches and pains” advice), as he’s a certified personal trainer in NYC.

Marykate Coakley

Maid-of-honor, the bride's BFF from college

It was really hard to not mention Marykate’s name in Alex’s introduction, because the three have truly always been a trio. Nicole and Marykate met through Alex early on their freshman year at Sacred Heart, immediately bonding over their shared experiences growing up in Bergen County. After playing the name game and a few red solo cups later, it was clear the girls were fast friends. Nicole’s favorite original friendship memories with Marykate include watching her dance during halftime at games in college (with Alex), house parties on Old Town Road (with Alex), trips to the Trumbull mall (sometimes without Alex) and so much more. Post-grad, Nicole and Marykate’s friendship has only grown exponentially stronger. The two have so much in common that the list is pretty lengthy, but their mutual love of knotted headbands, jean jackets and espresso martinis near the top. Selfishly, Nicole loves that Marykate has a school schedule, since she’s a school counselor, because it means she doesn’t always have to wait for a weekend to see her best friend (and hello, summers!).

John Attardi

Best man, the groom's BFF, college roommate, fraternity brother

Kyle and John also met thanks to the club baseball team and Pi Kappa Phi at Sacred Heart University. Unlike Joe who joined sophomore year, John was in Kyle’s fraternity pledge class freshman year and became an instantly close confidant. Since the day Kyle met him, John’s heart has always been bigger than most, which couldn’t be clearer in his display of admiration for Kyle and Nicole, even early on. He is truly a brother to Kyle, and to Nicole, who feel so lucky to also have John and his other half (also a Nicole!) in their life for the rest of their life, too. John and Kyle have so many hilarious memories together, that if you wrote them down and tried to stuff them in his college Camaro, it’d overflow (though, an easy feat). It took until Junior year for the boys to become roommates, and when they did, Kyle was certainly glad John took on the unofficial role of “house dad” when their upperclassmen shenanigans got out of hand. It makes sense in retrospect, since this Best Man is an honorable NYC Police Officer. Kyle couldn’t be happier than his fellow Pi Kappa Phi Executive Board Member is a member of his Bridal Party, and vice versa, and is honored to call one of the best men he knows his Best Man.

Julia Czarnecki

Bridesmaid, the groom's sister

Nicole and Julia met about two months into Kyle and Nicole ~unofficially~ dating in August of 2013 at the Czarnecki family’s neighbor’s high school graduation party. Kyle had strategically not yet brought a girl home to meet his family before, and Nicole was naturally anxious to meet his only sister. To everyone’s relief, Julia and Nicole quickly clicked! Although they only saw each other sporadically and at holidays throughout their college years, the two kept (and keep) in contact frequently over DM and text – even outside the infamously active Czarnecki family group chat. Nicole and Julia share a love of some good shopping, a delicious meal and skincare (some might call them junkies). Nicole always looks forward to family trips with the Czarnecki’s primarily because it means she’ll get lots of Julia time, and feels really blessed to be gaining a sister so inviting, loving and great at providing plant mom advice thanks to the doctorate degree she’s nearly completed in environmental science.

Corey Gittleman

Groomsman, the bride's brother, the groom's fraternity brother

Kyle and Corey have actually been brothers since 2014, when Corey joined Pi Kappa Phi at Sacred Heart University as a freshman. He’d already gotten to know Nicole’s boyfriend before he officially became a freshman at SHU, and boy was he glad to have a DUDE to show him the ropes around campus versus just his big sister. Over the years, the boys have built a natural friendship, which is no surprise since the two have a lot in common – a fiery passion for sports / sporting events, love of trying new foods / places / craft beers, competitive nature, and unconditional love for Nicole. For a few summers between 2015 - 2019, Kyle and Corey had what seemed to be an unending winning streak in Kan Jam, if that says anything about their connection. Now, the brothers-in-law-to-be love spending time together in Jersey City at a great restaurant, hanging at one of their apartments, or at Devil’s or Giants game, if they’re lucky. Kyle is so grateful to be gaining a brother in Corey, someone he can call at any time, any where, no matter what and expect an answer, only partially because Corey works as a Producer for a very, very, VERY early morning news show and has overnight hours.

Madeline McNeil

Bridesmaid, the bride's BFF from college

Once just two “Pi Kapp girlfriends”, now the best of friends donning the diamond rings they’d whisper-dreamed about over kegs at frat parties. Nicole and Madeline met when Madeline began dating Kyle’s groomsman and, at this point, Nicole’s friend Bill. When Bill introduced them to this absolutely stunning, sweet girl with mermaid-like long brown hair, Nicole had an immediate girl crush. What made Nicole fall even harder in friendship with Madeline was her matched level of sarcasm and realness. From college date nights with Madeline and BIll in 2013 to weekend visits in 2022, Nicole and Kyle feel really blessed to share a deep friendship with this incredible couple who has been a part of their story from the start and who are mutually excited to be a part of their future. Plus, it’s lovely to have a “family” nurse to text weird photos and questions before WebMD.

William "Bill" McNeil

Groomsman, the groom's BFF, college roommate, fraternity brother

Bill McNeil transferred into Kyle’s triple after the first semester of freshman year, as Kyle would argue, by divine intervention. Not only was Kyle suffering from an insufferable roommate, but this move was possibly also what sparked Bill to pledge Pi Kappa Phi sophomore year and thus further solidify their bro-besties for the restie status from early, early on during their college experience. Junior year, when Bill became an RA (Resident Assistant), Kyle, Joe and John’s house on Lakeside Drive (IYKYK) became an oasis away from campus on his off days. Since those early days, Bill has always been Kyle’s go-to call for advice, his “philosopher” friend, and someone whose opinion Kyle really admires. From making him chug water into between drinks at parties to deep life conversations post-grad, Bill is one of the best friends Kyle could ask for. It's no surprise Bill is a wise, smooth talker, as he’s building a successful career for himself in sales! Kyle and Nicole are so excited for Bill and Madeline’s (see: left) future and are so grateful they can call this supportive, uplifting pair their best friends.

Krista Stucchio

Bridesmaid, the bride's BFF and biz partner

If you know both Nicole and Krista, then the story of how they met in fall 2018 should come as no surprise to you. While stumbling on Instagram for Hudson County food content looking for somewhere new to eat, Nicole stumbled upon @hashtagfoodpic. Enter Krista – who’s bio mentioned that not only was she a local foodie photographer but also worked full-time in social media. Eager to meet this outgoing content creator personally and professionally (Nicole was working in social media software sales, at the time), Nicole slid into Krista’s DMs on LinkedIn. A few exchanges back and forth, and just weeks later their scheduled 30 minute coffee meeting outside Bryant Park suddenly slipped into an hour of gabbing about nothing related to work. Fast forward to today, Krista is a critical business partner for Nicole as her go-to brand photographer, but an even more critical friend in her life. The two can (and do) talk all day long about everything from work to family, and never miss an opportunity to enjoy a foodie moment in Hoboken or Jersey City together.

Christian Spies

Groomsman, the groom's fraternity "little" brother

This list of party people wouldn’t be complete without Christian. Kyle’s fraternity little and longtime friend, but dear friend of Nicole’s too, Christian has always been a spark of joy in the couple’s lives. Kyle and Christian immediately clicked when they first met (Kyle’s sophomore year / Christian’s freshman) during a fraternity rush event and realized their shared, intense passion for the Yankees and baseball in general. Going to games together annually isn’t the only tradition the boys have built together over the years. From chilling on fraternity house couches sipping cheap beer to relaxing at Kyle and Nicole’s for spontaneous wine weeknights in Jersey City, Christian has remained a close and reliable friend of Kyle’s since 2012. Christian’s career in media planning and buying is also partially what keep him and Nicole so chatty whenever they’re together, but between the three of them, it’s hard to find room to jump into conversation. The couple is so thrilled to have Christian, someone who’s been around from the start, be a part of their special day!

Ellen Charalambous

Bridesmaid, the bride's BFF

2018 must have been a good year, because it’s also when Nicole met Ellen through Kyle’s Best Man, college roommate and best friend Joe. As practically Joe’s roommate in college and his close friend, too, Nicole was eager to meet the “energetic short blonde” Joe described he’d started dating in the city. The girls’ first encounter happened late on a Friday, after Joe called Kyle last minute while on a date with Ellen in downtown Manhattan. Within seconds, Kyle was off the phone and Joe was dragging his date across the Hudson to Jersey City to see us. Ellen couldn’t have been more excited to meet Nicole and Kyle, and her immense admiration for a particular Pinot Grigio in their fridge couldn’t have sealed the deal for their love for her any faster. Since that first encounter, Nicole and Ellen have grown to be close confidants and confidence boosters for each other, as they’ve navigated major career changes (like Ellen transitioning from being a corporate recruiter to a badass fitness trainer!) over the years. Nicole and Kyle are so grateful that Joe’s forever is their forever, too.

Anthony Altomaro

Groomsman, the groom's BFF, fraternity brother

Freshman year of college, Kyle met Anthony playing club baseball. By sophomore year, they were suite-mates and Anthony was rushing Pi Kappa Phi (are you seeing a close Kyle’s friends theme, yet?). If you know Anthony, it doesn’t come as a surprise that he was also one of the many reasons Kyle made it to church on campus periodically. Although, don’t let Anthony’s Catholic streak lead you to believe he doesn’t have a freak streak – Kyle and Nicole are never not laughing around Anthony. His incredibly outgoing personality can often get him in trouble, but it is what led him to making a very important introduction back in 2013… Kyle and Nicole! Anthony was the instigator that encouraged Kyle to go to Luxembourg and ultimately connect with Nicole. Anthony and Nicole met during class freshman year and instantly became friends. Today, Anthony is also close with Nicole’s Maids-of-Honor and about 80% of the groomsmen. Thankfully he’s great at dividing up the check, since he’s an Accountant.

Katherine (Katie) Morovich

Bridesmaid, the bride's sorority "little" sister

Nicole met Katie during her sophomore year in college at Sacred Heart during Katie’s freshman year sorority recruitment experience. She wasn’t your typical sorority girl, like Nicole, preferring black jeans to bright dresses and dropping nervous jokes versus standard, scripted sorority niceties. Once Nicole knew Katie was getting a bid to Chi O, her campaign to claim Katie as her “little” sister began. The memories these two have together are endless – from Nicole’s first Morovich family encounter happening after the girls’ first (and most wild to date?) night out together to Katie coming in clutch helping Nicole with everything and anything she was hosting at SHU to pre-weekend rituals togethers (i.e. the package store and Target) to growing our sorority family when Alex became Katie’s younger sister Sarah’s sorority big sister (you following?). The closest she’s ever had to a real little sister (until now!), Nicole is thrilled to have Katie by her side on her wedding day.

Dominic Pilione

Groomsman, the groom's childhood friend

Fact: Dominic has known Kyle longer than any other groomsmen by at least 10 years! The boys met when they were just toddlers on Atherton Court, and the rest is somewhat history. Kyle and Dom grew up playing basketball, baseball, you name it in the backyard or in the street together, fulfilling each other’s brotherly needs considering they both have sister(s). Even as they grew older, Kyle has remained close with his pseudo-little brother from his early years, often maintaining connection through fantasy football, the Subway Series and Devils Rangers rivalries, family holiday parties, LBI trips or golf.
